Preventative Exams

We offer comprehensive wellness exams to all children (well baby, well child, and well adolescent exams), from birth to 18 years of age. A well visit is an integral part of preventive care that assesses your child’s state of health, diagnoses potential health issues, and provides guidance in maintaining wellness. This will include a standard physical examination, an evaluation of physical and behavioral development (to determine that your child is on track or has achieved the essential growth milestones), recommended screenings and tests, and counseling for cultivating your child’s physical and emotional health. For adolescent girls, we also offer contraception counseling and injectable contraception treatment (Depo-Provera) by request.

School and Sports Physicals

School and sports physicals are often required by many academic institutions to ensure that your child is healthy and can safely participate in school and sports activities. Exact requirements will vary for different institutions, but all physicals include a physical evaluation (ears, eyes, nose, throat, abdomen, reflexes, etc.), medical history assessment, vision check, and the recording of vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, etc.). If your child’s vaccination and medical records are not with us, please be sure to bring them on the day of the scheduled physical.

Your child’s privacy rights are always fully protected under the law, regardless if it’s an in-office or virtual doctor visit. To ensure maximum privacy, all virtual doctor visits are conducted over a fully encrypted connection, along with the removal of all video at the end of the session.
